On Thursday 6th March, some of Sydney’s most interesting acts will merge, creating a fusion of strings and magic. Combining the talents of magician Adam Mada, percussionist Daniel Luscombe and violinist Sophie Serafino just back from a world tour, for the first performance back in Sydney, this night will mix the music of Vivaldi, Rachmaninoff, Paganini and Ravel and Serafino’s own compositions. Sophie Serafino is a violinist, also a singer and songwriter, with a unique blend of pop music. The style evolved after years of experimentation with many musical genres, has been described as entirely unique. Sophie mixes world music and impressionistic sounds with funk, dance and classically inspired strings. Sophie has travelled with her own original act to London, Amsterdam, Paris, Rome, Istanbul, Casablanca, Bahrain, Delhi and Los Angeles. Serafino is currently working on her next album. Adam Mada performs sleight of hand artistry, mind illusion, thought manipulation and other bizarre feats, creating an intimate close up magical experience. Adam Mada just loves seducing your mind, with sharp astonishment. He has been called a performance artist, a magician and even a bizzarist. Adams unique and entertaining style for the past eight years has taken his performance to over ten countries. You will be wondering who is Adam Mada? You will be uttering, how is that possible? Come and find out. Dan Luscombe is a percussion virtuoso with an intense level of classical training. He has performed with some of the world’s greatest musicians from rock stars to leading classical figures, including Tommy Emmanuel, The Whitlams, Human Nature, Tim Rogers, Tex Perkins, Evelyn Glennie and NEXUS. Dan Luscombe’s passion has taken him around the world and he has now turned his sights to mass entertainment.
