Very proud of Cardistry, whom I’m fortunate enough to direct & produce, for taking out the Judges and Audience vote for the first ever Short & Sweet Comedy + Magic.

Born with a cleft pallet, Cherrybrook resident Lucas Itrawan spent time in hospital as a young child.

Now 14, he visits hospitals regularly to entertain sick children with his magic skills.

“We always do volunteer work for the Starlight Foundation in the holidays – we perform for the them and we make balloon animals,” Lucas said.

Lucas and his partner, Ash Hodgkinson, recently took out the Magician’s Prize in the Short and Sweet Cabaret show with their act, Double Trouble.

“The thing I enjoy most is the audience reaction, especially to the new and different tricks that we do,” he said.

The youngest entrants in the competition, Lucas and Ash were thrilled to win against competitors they have drawn inspiration from.

“It was actually really great to meet all the other magicians,” he said.
