FIRST EVER MAGIC & COMEDY INCLUSION TO THE SHORT & SWEET CABARET FESTIVAL !
It’s very exciting to be brought on as an associate producer for the Short & Sweet brand. I’ve worked hard to put together two different shows with a line up of fresh talent both Magicians and Comedians.
It’s incredibly difficult for Magicians in this city to find a way to get proper stage time. Short & Sweet, now a global brand from LA to India to Dubai, provides a brilliant opportunity for acts to present a maximum of ten minutes on the theatre stage.
This recent Sunday we had a full house for the first show which included our headliner the ever shining bright star and mentor to so many of us, Mr Timothy Hyde. All acts across the festival including the Magicians and Comics will be competing for a spot in the Gala Final at SLIDE.
I really hope to see lots of Sydney magicians at this event. It’s incredibly rare that the arts and theatre community engage with the magic community, every dollar you spend on a ticket is an investment on the future of Australian Magic.
